THE GIFT, REJECTED
I offered it all,
A home, a family,
My love, my adore.
My undying devotion,
A love since unmatched.
Has been pushed aside,
By a plan, badly hatched.
To invent a girlfriend,
To cover his fear.
He would reject,
What he once held so dear.
I was owner and friend,
Love pledged till the end
My name is slandered,
Or so I hear. His fake enamored,
Emblazoned for all to see,
Lies increase with intensity,
Engaged in 5 days to Miss Fake,
His tongue forked like a snake.
Now suddenly,
They’ve broken up,
Never met her,
Boo hoo,
Such bad luck.
Hard to marry someone,
When the woman isn’t real.
While you slight the real woman,
With whom you made the deal.
Giving yourself to me,
Was a commitment for life?
Easily broken contract,
Stab my back with a knife.
A man so you say,
Unable to let go,
Mommies apron strings,
Stopped him at the door,
He can’t come out,
And play today,
But with his happiness,
His life, he will pay.
Love thrown away,
What’s left for this man?
Sentenced to loneliness
By his own ignorant hand.
Can anyone afford to throw
Such treasures away?
Not if they are of their,
Right mind, I would say.
