PROFILE BACKGROUND IMAGE

A friend recently asked if there is a way to display a single image on one's profile background rather than the tiled ones... and, if so, how does one go about doing it? Can anyone help?

I just picked one that was big enough not to tile.

That said, this should do it if is added to the CSS box at the bottom of the page. I have not tried it myself so I cannot guarantee it will work. If it doesn't you will have to ask SA to tweak the settings.

Place that in the CSS advanced user box under design my profile. Make sure to add your own picture.

Well I give up. I can't get background images to work at all. I've spent hours trying to follow all the help, but nothing shows up.

mine started working after i emptied my cache for a totally different reason!
