Question: which of the various locations that give "online" status is most up-to-date if I want to see who is online at this moment in time?

well, Tirant... i have always just used the community>browse function at the top. however, as i'm sure you are aware, an inner sanctum membership allows a member to hide their online status. i hide mine for privacy reasons that stem from incidents a few months back.
