Cannot View Comments From Nonfriends

ID, if a person comments to me and they are not a friend on my profile, I am getting an odd message that says their profile cannot be viewed. And it's preventing me from seeing their comment, not just their profile.

It has happened a few times now (took me awhile to figure it out)....is a wire crossed somewhere?

you are getting the message when you go to their profile? If so, it means they have their profile set to friends only and you cannot view it or the comments.

There is no reason you should not see a comment they leave on your profile though.

I had some comments in my comments box and when i clicked on it, i couldn't read the comment without being a friend,so in case they wanted a reply i sent a friends request, and then when accepted, i could read the comment.

Its not a problem but i did not want to be a collector, i just wanted to befriend folk i had spoke to or seemed likely to be a good friend, because i didn't want to have a hundred odd and not be able to converse with them.

If the comments were on their profile or blog and they were 'friends only' then that's what you have to do, ask them to add you on their friends list in order to see them.

There is no reason why you should not be able to see any comments on your page.
